Autumn Term 2016  - Library News!

This year the library has moved... and has a new name!  The new "Lagoon Library" is based downstairs in a very smart room.

A group of year 6's applied to be Librarians and those that were chosen are proving to be excellent at their job.  They not only do all the scanning in and out but tidy up the  Lagoon Library and the Reading Jungle.  We are very grateful for their help.

Years 4, 5 and 6 all have days when they can visit the library to change and choose new books and we hope that eventually Year 3 will be involved too.

Here are some pictures of the new Lagoon library...

Welcome to the Library

We now have a super new computerised system in our Library which our Year 4, 5 and 6's are using on a daily basis.  They can borrow up to 3 books at a time  which can be either fiction or non fiction.  We have Librarians from the Year 5 and 6 classes who take turns to run the library each morning and afternoon straight after register.  All of them are doing a great job and will soon be training the new Librarians who will take over after Easter.

New Books

We have recently bought some new books for the Library including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter and David Walliams however we are always wanting more and therefore if anyone's children have finished with books (suitable for 7-11 year olds) we would be very grateful for any donations.

Here are some pictures of our library and the Librarians in action!
