Summer 2022

We finally did it! After starting back in September 2019 we finally managed to perform Lion King in May 2022. As two cohorts have gone on to secondary school we had to recast lots of the parts. We decided to do the performance with Y5 and Y6 children only as they'd started the rehearsals back in Y3 and Y4 before Covid. They did remarkably well! Such a fantastic performance!

Spring 2022

We are BACK!!!!!! Musical Theatre Club is starting again, we plan to work on the songs from Lion King Jr. We are aiming to produce a performance of some sort by the end of this academic year. We are so pleased to be back doing what we love!!

Summer 2021

Due to Covid restrictions HCPS were unable to perform a school production this year. We are hoping to be able to start rehearsing a new school production in September.

Summer 2020

Lion King

We asked the cast, with permission from their parents, whilst at home in lockdown, to video their vocal part from the song 'Can you Feel the Love tonight'. Mrs Swinden put all the vocals together and created this video as a way of celebrating the children's hard work.

WOW - HCPS are AMAZING!!

After posting the video of the children onto our school page lots of people shared it and commented on it. The video went VIRAL!!! Official London Theatre, The Lion King - Musical & Disney themselves all shared our video on their social media platforms. The video had 37.3k views!!!

Once our video had become so popular, BBC Look North got in touch and did a feature on our video with a special little surprise for the cast too.

Thank you to all the children who auditioned this week. The cast list will be posted on board near the Reading Jungle. :)

Rehearsals for this year's Summer Term school production will start next week (w/c 21.09.2019).
