Music
All the thunder, lightning and rain has reminded me of a piece of music-‘Storm’ Interlude from ‘Peter Grimes’ by Benjamin Britten. Check out a cool video and some facts about this music on this link:
If you have collected plastic pots and string this week, have a go at this ‘laughing chicken’ science experiment from Professor Brainstorm. He came into our school and showed the teachers this experiment and we really enjoyed it! Some of you will have seen these pots and heard what they do in our Music lessons...
You can use different sized pots and see if they make different pitches... What can you find out?

Summer Term
I have also added a new unit in your assignments for the summer term-
'Lean on Me'. Can you learn to sing the song, play the musical games, play your instrument, improvise and compose to the music? How does the music make you feel? What is the style of the music? I hope you enjoy the new song for this half term!

If you like rap, you could use the Hip Hop lessons (Adobe Flash Player required) or 'Stop' unit (under the name 'Flexible Pathway') for rap inspiration and backing tracks. Feel free to browse all the other resources. Have fun!
